Rena E. Louth
Mrs. Rena E. Louth, age 80, of Georgetown, DE, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.
A native Delawarean, Mrs. Louth was born in Wilmington on December 2, 1930, daughter of the late George Spence and Alice Windsor Spence. She was employed as a controller with the former A&P Supermarket in Newark until her retirement in 1978.
Mrs. Louth was a talented homemaker throughout her life and delighted in spending time with her beloved family, especially during the holidays and at other family gatherings and celebrations. She also enjoyed taking long drives with her husband and McDonalds sweet tea.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Francis H. Louth; children, James F. Louth (Linda) of Bear, Carol Ann Duff (Ernie) of Earleville, MD, Jerry T. Louth of Elkton, MD, and Francis J. Louth (Connie) of New Castle; grandchildren, Stacey, Christy, Christopher, Jesse, Kelly, Eric, Jennifer, Ashley, and Patrick; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joan Emory, Marie Subda, Bernice Morgan, Richard Spence, and George Spence.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 1st, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Entombment will follow in the adjoining mausoleum.
