Richard C. Hill, Jr.

Richard C. Hill, Jr., age 73, of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.
Born in Crisfield, MD on June 25, 1940, Mr. Hill was a son of Richard C. Hill, Sr. and Gladys E. Evans Hill. He retired from Amtrak after 45 years of dedicated service. Mr. Hill was a longtime member of St. Johns Lodge No. 2, AF & AM.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Hill is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sandra Ann Hartman Hill; father, Richard C. Hill, Sr. of Townsend, DE; children, Ronald C. Warne and wife Laura of Bear, DE, Brenda L. Bass and husband Francis of Laurel, MD, and Tammy S. Cavey and husband Richard of Lambsburg, VA; sisters, Barbara Andreavich of New Castle, DE and Mary Shores of Townsend, DE; brothers, Ralph Hill of New Castle, DE and James Hill of Townsend, DE; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at The Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
