January 2, 1929 - May 16, 2015

Richard F. Hall, age 86, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at his residence.

Richard retired in 1994 from Land O’ Lakes as a milk inspector, spending over 50 years in the dairy industry.

He was a Civil War buff, enjoyed photography, watching classic westerns and adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, F. Irene (Summerfield) Hall. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Kane (Tom) of West Grove, PA, Cindy Johnson (Terry) of Dover, DE and Pam Ingle (Grover) of New Castle, DE; sister, Jane Caldwell of Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Bridget, Tom Jr., Rich, Shannon and Andrew; and great grandchildren, Tim, Jessica, Ashley, Noah, Samantha, William, Alex, Morgan and Caleb.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Katherine Sahm and her staff for the exceptional care they provided to Richard.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Glebe Cemetery, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Will Fire Company, 401 South Street, New Castle, DE 19720.

  • Bobby, I believe I have seen that picture, we had heard about some of the parties that you all had always a good time. We certainly will miss dad, but I feel in my heart that he was ready to go and missed mom so much since her death 5 years ago. (I already miss him).
