Robert Avery Midcap, known fondly as Bob, age 47, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Bob was born in Jennersville, PA on February 1, 1968, and was a son of Robert E. Midcap and Frances I. (Pelkey) Midcap. He made his career as a salesman with Forrest and Parker Trailer Sales in Bear, DE.
Bob was known by his family and friends as an exceptionally hard worker. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working on cars and was an avid stock car racing fan. A loving and devoted husband, son, father and grandfather, Bob adored spending time with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and a sister, Dorothy Randow. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Joanne Mary (Chambers) Midcap; mother, Frances I. Midcap; sons, William Chambers, Sr. of Wilmington and Brandon Midcap of Wilmington; siblings, Loretta Wilson of Middletown, Gene Midcap of Pennsylvania, Charles Midcap of Orlando, FL and Tammy Midcap of Wilmington; and 2 grandchildren, Aria Chambers and William Chambers, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening, May 20, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Interment will be held privately.
