Robert Bruce Murzyn

Robert Bruce Murzyn, age 75, of Bear, DE, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014.
Born in Upland, PA on January 17, 1939, Mr. Murzyn was a son of the late Francis Vincent Murzyn and Violet Jeanette Johnson Murzyn. He honorably served his country in the USAF. A proud union member, Mr. Murzyn worked as a boiler maker for most of his career.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Morgan. Mr. Murzyn is survived by his brother, Francis Sonny Murzyn and 2 grandsons, Matthew Jeffrey Morgan and Cody Stephen Morgan.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.

I want to express my sympathy to Bob’s brother and grandchildren on his passing. Bob was a long standing member of Christopher Council, Knights of Columbus, and its affiliate the Brandywine Club in Claymont. In the early days when everyone had a CB radio in their car, he was the “Claymont Mongoose” or just simply the “goose”. I can remember his fondness for playing poker and eating hard shell crabs. He always enjoyed a good conversation. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Rest in peace, my friend.
