Robert D. Morgan, Jr., age 78, of New Castle, DE and formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Born in Chestnut Hill, PA on October 26, 1936, Mr. Morgan was the son of the late Robert D. Morgan Sr. and Hazel E. Matz Morgan. He made his career as an estate manager in Fort Washington, PA for many years.
Mr. Morgan was a lifetime member of Solomon Lodge No. 36 A.F. & A.M. of Delaware. He also gave of his time as a member of the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company in Lafayette Hill, PA. Above all else, Mr. Morgan was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who adored spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lynette M. Dubbs Morgan; son, Gary A. Morgan of Bear; and 2 grandchildren, Sadie and Tanner Morgan of Bear.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday morning, December 4, 2014 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a masonic service will be held at 10:45 am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
