Roberta E. (Wyka) Warwick, age 66, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware on November 22, 1947, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward Wyka and Mary Ciszkowski Wyka.

A talented homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her family. Betty enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. In her leisure moments, she liked watching her favorite television shows. Betty adored spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Thomas P. Warwick, Sr. Betty is survived by her children, Thomas P. Warwick, Jr. (Laura) of Newark, Victoria Warwick of New Castle, Jennifer Warwick of Newark and Adam Warwick of New Castle; grandsons, Thomas Warwick III and Ryan Warwick; brother, Robert Wyka, Sr. of New Castle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Ann, Liz and Myrna, for the exceptional care they provided to Betty during her illness.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
