Rosa Bufo

Rosa Bufo, age 78, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.

Born in Mola Di Bari, Italy on April 25, 1936, Mrs. Bufo was a daughter of the late Nicola Suglia and Filomena (Berlen) Suglia.

A talented homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her loved ones. Mrs. Bufo was an exceptional cook and relished preparing delicious meals and baked goods for family and friends. She was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin and was happiest in the company of her beloved family. She will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Angelo Bufo and a brother, Juan Suglia. Mrs. Bufo is survived by her husband of 55 years, Francesco Franco Bufo; daughter-in-law, Sandra Bufo; siblings, Veronica Diomede (Giovanni), Gaetano Suglia (Angela), Anna Ferreyra (Ramon), Nicola Suglia (Jackie), Margherita Renna (Domenico), Maria Arbuet (Juan) and Lorenzo Suglia (Nora); 2 grandsons, Francesco and Angelo Bufo; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm and again from 7 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Monday morning, February 2, 2015, at Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
