Roy C. Reynolds II
Mr. Roy C. Reynolds II, known fondly as Rinky, age 69, of Port Penn, DE, died on Monday, June 13, 2011, at Christiana Hospital.
Roy was a native Delawarean, born in Wilmington on July 3, 1941, son of the late Roy C. Reynolds, Sr. and Rose Bard Reynolds. As a young man, he proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard. A maintenance technician by profession, he was employed with the Methodist Country House in Wilmington for 26 years before retiring in 1999.
Roy was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Penn, where he was an elder for many years and served on the renovation committee. He enjoyed fishing and jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Reynolds. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Lou Reynolds; daughter, Terri Johnson and her husband, Jimmy Johnson; and beloved granddaughter, Jada Johnson. He is also survived by daughters, Lisa Sabourin and Michele Zeppieri; son, Robert Reynolds; sisters, Barbara Spry and Sandy Miller; brothers, Samuel Reynolds, Clayton Reynolds, and Andy Reynolds; and grandson, Ryan Sabourin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn Road, Port Penn.
