Sarah E. Bowles, age 51, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

A native Delawarean, Sarah was born in Wilmington on February 28, 1965, and was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Carlen.  She made her career with BJ’s Wholesale Club in New Castle, where she worked as a loss prevention supervisor for many years.  A devoted and loving wife and mother, Sarah will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Carlen.  Sarah is survived by her husband, Paul E. Coulbourne, Sr.; and sons, Paul E. Coulbourne, Jr., Joseph Coulbourne and Charles Coulbourne.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.  Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to a charity of your choosing.
