Scherry H. Myers

Scherry H. Myers, age 79, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.

Mrs. Myers was born in Newark, NJ on December 14, 1934. She made her career with Children and Families First, where she worked in the billing department and retired in 2005 after many years of dedicated service.

Mrs. Myers was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Beloved R.C. Church in Wilmington. Known for her compassionate and gentle nature, she adored caring for her home and her pets. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, watching action movies and vacationing in the Outer Banks. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her mother, Mary C. Unnold, her beloved husband, Richard Joslyn Myers and her first husband, Andreas Miliotis. She is survived by her children, Stephen J. Myers of New Castle, William Miliotis of Rahway, NJ, Peter Miliotis of Rahway, NJ and Effy Barone of Elizabeth, NJ; and 3 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE where a visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will be held privately in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
