Sharon Lee Doyle
Sharon Lee Doyle, known fondly as Chipper, age 60, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, on March 5, 1952, Sharon was a graduate of Delcastle High School and earned her degree in hotel management from LaSalle University. She made her career in the custodial department of the Colonial School District, where she retired in 2007.
Sharon delighted in spending time outdoors, especially camping with family and friends, and was a great fan of NASCAR racing. She also enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and listening to country music and the songs of Elvis Presley.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris B. Engalls Doyle, and by her brother, Gary W. Doyle. She is survived by her father, Colin W. Doyle; sisters, Bonny L. Pruitt (Robert) and Kimberley K. Rebarchak (Glen); nieces and nephew, Crystal L. Clough (William), James C. Colmery, Kelsey D. Sill, and Klarissa L. Rebarchak; great nephew, Bryan C. Colmery; and lifelong friends, Sue Dooley and Ann Marie Henderson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
