  • We would like to extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Shirley’s entire family. Shirley came into my life 30 years ago and I feel very blessed to have had her in my life and to have created so many fond memories. Some of those memories include traveling to Nascar races together, vacationing in the Outer Banks, girls beach weekends (always a favorite), holiday and family parties, no matter what the reason; we got together and always had a great time. She was a true friend in every sense of the word. It is very hard to say goodbye to such a special friend. Her love and memory will live in my heart forever as I am sure she will live in all your hearts. Sleep well my friend; for there will be no more pain or suffering.

  • My heartfelt sympathy to Brian, Mert and Shirley’s family. I met Shirley through my niece, Donna, and loved her from first time I met her. We had so many good times with her and Brian at pigroasts, beach, etc. She was truly one of a kind. And if you were a friend of hers, she would be there for you no matter what. So sorry you are gone so young and you will be missed by all. And to Brian, she could not have asked for a better husband who took such good care of her for so long. God bless you.
