Solomon R. Amin, Jr.

December 13, 1952 –  June 6, 2014

Solomon R. Amin, Jr., age 61, of Newark, DE passed away suddenly at home on Friday, June 6, 2014.  Friends may visit with his family from 6-8 pm on Friday evening, June 13, 2014 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE.  A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning, June 14, 2014 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2101 Red Lion Road, Bear, DE.

If we remember nothing else, we will remember his smile
Solomon’s choking laugh that could be heard over miles
How he’d tell jokes that cracked himself up,
He might have laughed at you, but it was out of love
How I will miss his mustache tickling my face through his kiss
His hugs, his smell, his heavy footsteps will be truly missed
Husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He made everyone feel special and a helping hand he’d always lend.
Solomon was woven even through the smallest aspects of our lives
Throughout it all Jehovah was always his drive.
So we are sad, but we are hopeful to see him again,
Because, he was a loving shepherd that was faithful to the end.
–Leonora Amin and Nicole Amin-Smalls
