Tessie B. Kwiatkowski
Mrs. Tessie B. Kwiatkowski, age 86, formerly of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her beloved family on Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Franciscan Care Center in Hockessin, DE.
A native of Poland, Mrs. Kwiatkowski was born on Christmas Day 1923, daughter of the late Konstanty Rodowicz and Antonina Lipka Rodowicz. She was a talented homemaker and devoted her life to caring for her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime member of Holy Family parish and its Altar Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William James Kwiatkowski, son, James Jim Kwiatkowski, and brother, John Rodowicz. She is survived by her children, Patricia Myers, Mary Sanders (Jim), Kathleen Kathy Jamison (Lee), Theresa Terri Dalecki (Steve), and William Bill Kwiatkowski (Pam); brother, Eugene Butch Rodowicz (Mary Jane); 12 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family extends special thanks to the staff and extended family at the Franciscan Care Center for their many kindnesses to and exceptional care of Mrs. Kwiatkowski during her residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Franciscan Care Center, 100 St. Claire Drive, Hockessin, DE 19707; or to Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE 19713 (mark Holy Family contributions for Altar Society).
