Above all else, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be very dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Carl Cangello, who died in 2000; daughter, Gail Bevans; brother, James Crockett; sister, Carolyn Cross; and sisters-in-law, Helen and Margaret Crockett. Crockett (Joanne) of Rising Sun, MD; sisters, Linda Lucas (James) of Newark, DE and Lois Nesci (Fran) of Bear, DE; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Maryland, especially to nurses Malisa and Amy for the exceptional care they provided to Thelma.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday morning, October 30, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

You and Tony were always such a blessing when our kids were growing up. Don’t know how we could have made it as young parents with out you. You will be truly missed,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know your loved one personally, but I do know the pain of losing a loved one in death. It is my hope that you may find comfort from family and friends, and from “the God of all comfort” who can provide us with peace during such difficult times. – 2 Corinthians 1:3
