Theodore E. Huggler

Mr. Theodore E. Huggler, age 97, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Theodore was born on February 18, 1918 in Ridgeway, PA to the late Edward and Rose Huggler. Strong in his faith, Mr. Huggler was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church, as well as the Delaware Saengerbund. He proudly served his country during WWII, in both the Army Air Corps. and Air Force. Theodore worked for Atlantic Aviation, retiring after 34 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed playing golf at Rock Manor, fishing, traveling with his beloved wife and especially loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have known him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janis of 68 years whom he adored; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Mr. Huggler is survived by his son, Gary Huggler and daughter Cheryl Cox (Jerry); sister, Elaine Berfield; 4 grandchildren; Shannon Walsh (Jim), Alison Wilt (Andrew), Jeff Cox (Kirsten), and Jennifer Cox; and 5 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Hope Lutheran Church, 230 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE 19720, where friends may visit from 10:30 am until 11am. Interment will be held privately in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
