Thomas A. “Tom” Dorsi

Thomas A. Tom Dorsi, age 71, of Townsend, Delaware passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Born on June 13, 1943 in Waltham, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Ferdinando R. Dorsi and Jennie Salvucci Dorsi.

Tom was a dedicated self-employed mason. In his leasure time, he found great pleasure in traveling with his friends on bike runs and working on his Harley Davidson. He loved riding his Harley, especially cross country. More importantly, Tom loved spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vicki Sue (Coggins) Dorsi.
Tom leaves many fond memories to his children, Patricia A. Patty Corea (Mark) of Camden, Thomas A. Dorsi, Jr. (Angela) of Townsend and Mary Alice Dorsi of Newark; one brother, James Dorsi of Watertown, MA; two sisters, Camilla Busnardo of Bridgeton, NJ and Jeanette Schade of Tuscon, AZ; seven grandchildren, Candice, Sean, Tony, Kevin, Paul IV, Tommy III and Krista, and five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Evangeline, Fallyn, Shawnee and Mason.

Friends may visit with Tom’s family from 9:00 am “ 10:30 am on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 111 S Independence Mall E, Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2521.

  • Dad, I will miss u every day. I am so glad your suffering has ended.It was time for u to go, u are finally home with mom. . I love u always and will hang on tight to all the fond memories I have. We had our ups n downs ( because I am my fathers daughter n just like u), but never let the disagreements keep us apart.
