Thomas I. Braune, age 69, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013.

A native Delawarean, Tom was born in Wilmington on April 25, 1944, son of the late Anna and Leslie Braune. He was a 1962 graduate of Newark High School and would go on to a 25-year career with the Pepsi Corporation. He later worked for US Inspect, a real estate inspection company.
Tom was an avid golfer throughout his life and a loyal fan of the University of Delaware football team. He also greatly enjoyed working in his garden and taking meticulous care of his yard each year. Most of all, he delighted in spending time with his beloved family, especially his precious grandchildren whom he adored.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Eileen W. Braune; sons, Andrew Braune (Heather) and Stephen Braune (Maria); brothers, Bob Braune (Rose) and Jeff Braune (Paula); and grandchildren, Katie, Kyle, Ella, Stella, and Lennon.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 24th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.

    We have been blessed over the years to have this loving relationship with Tom and Eileen that means the world to us.
    The highlight of the year was during the Christmas season when we all spent the holiday with our children Maria and Stephan and grandchildren Stella and Lennon. It was a special time of the year when we could all be together to give thanks that we are so blessed with such a wonderful family.
