Thomas Wilson, Jr.

Thomas Wilson Jr., age 73, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

A native Delawarean, Thomas was born in Wilmington on December 26, 1943, and was the son of the late Thomas Wilson, Sr. and Jennie Wilson. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. A career mechanic, Thomas was employed by Hertz Penske in West Chester, PA, where he worked until his retirement.

Active in his community, he was a life member of the Delaware City Fire Department and a member of the Delaware City Lions Club. Thomas was a devoted and loving family man who will be very dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandy Parag; children, Regina Parag-Costello (Brian) and Thomas Parag (Michelle Cornish), all of Delaware City; brother, Bobby Wilson of Greenfield Center, NY; sister, Shirley Pendrick (Thomas) of Saratoga Springs, NY; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 at the Delaware City Fire Company, 815 5th Street, Delaware City, DE 19706 where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Interment with military honors will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
