Vahan “Nick” Biklarian, age 62, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018.

Born in Abadan, Iran on July 4, 1956, he was the son of the late Moses and Nora (Khudaverdian) Biklarian. A talented hair stylist, Nick owned and operated Cat’s Eye Hair Salon in Newark for over 25 years.

He was known for wearing his signature bow ties and fondness for cars. Nick was an all-around happy, go-lucky guy who enjoyed singing and dancing. Most important of all, he loved his family and friends.

Nick is survived by his children, Talin, Maghady and Vahan Biklarian, all of Wilmington; former wife and best friend, Iren Biklarian of Wilmington; siblings, Nina Ruggens and Michele Biklarian, both of London, England; and granddaughter, Natalina Marsh.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 11 Barbara Place, Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will be held privately.

  • Nick was a dear friend, he always had a nice thing to say about everything situation. He loved singing and was a talented stylist. I mourn his loss.

  • I already miss Nick so much. My late husband, Don, and I felt we were part of his family with Iren, his daughters and then Vahan. Nick always had a smile, was a talented and loyal friend. I always said “Next to Don, I loved Nick best.” I am sorry I will miss the get together to honor and remember him.

  • Thank You very much, I miss him all the time as you know his passing is a major void in all our lives that we have to fill, not to long after he lost his older brother Michele Biklarian it’s a lot of important people who are crucial in making the foundation that we started from, to everyone who left a comment thank you. I am sure my Father would love to know how much he meant thank you.

  • I worked with Nick back in the 80’s, at the salon in the mall. He was a class act and loved by everyone. Thinking about him tonight. My husband knew him in a different capacity and we were reminiscing about what a great guy he was. RIP Nick.
