Valerie A. Harris Hall

Valerie A. Harris Hall, age 78, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

Born in Staten Island, New York on August 24, 1935, Mrs. Hall was a daughter of the late Benjamin Harris and Valerie Curran Harris.

She was longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church in New Castle. In her leisure time, Mrs. Hall loved visiting area yard sales, where she enjoyed finding unique treasures. She was a talented homemaker, whose greatest joy was caring for her loved ones. Above all else, Mrs. Hall adored spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William T. Lawler and a sister, Constance Stant. Mrs. Hall is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Francis M. Hall; sons, Joseph V. Lawler and wife Etsuko of Middleburg, FL, Thomas J. Lawler and wife Sue of Belevidere, IL, Daniel F. Lawler of New Castle, DE, Dennis V. Hall and wife Virginia of Rising Sun, MD, and Allan Hall and wife Kim of Clearwater, FL; brother, William Harris of New Castle, DE; sisters, Martha Eppler of New Castle, DE and Theresa Seilheimer of Dekalb, IL; 4 grandchildren, James, Kaley, Jacob, and Rose; and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday morning, January 14, 2014, at The Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
