Vicki Lynn Cunningham, age 50, of New Castle, DE, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on February 27, 1968, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Bernice (Wapnerck) Cunningham, Sr. Vicki was a 1986 graduate of Christiana High School and was honorably mentioned on the Dean’s list as a 1988 graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College. She spent her career as a dental assistant and was most recently employed by Dr. Russell Tibbetts.

Vicki loved to be with people, especially gathering with her family and her CHS girls group. She was known by all for infectious laugh and funny antics. Vicki enjoyed Mexican restaurants and baking. Animals held a special place in her heart. Vicki’s hobbies included shopping, traveling, going to the beach and decorating. Above all she will be remembered as a beloved sister, aunt and dear friend to many.

Vicki is survived by her brother, Jack Cunningham (MaryAnn) of Wilmington; sister Karen (Bill) Sniegowski of Bear; nephew, Brian Cunningham (Kristin) and their children, Jack, Tate and Sean; niece, Leslie Clark (Terry) and their children, Olivia and TJ, all of Wilmington, and special niece, Amanda Sniegowski of Florida; longtime partner, Patrick Kenney; dear friend, Karen Robinson; cousins, Ron Kirkpatrick (Robin), Kathy Cole (Bill), Pat Kouts, Carol Hall (Pat) and John Delamater, all of Michigan, June (Charles) Hales of Christiana and Gilbert (Michelle) Cunningham of Florida; and canine companion, Mya.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

  • We have been friends since we were 9 years old. Through the years we lost touch but seeing each other again at our 30th reunion it was like we picked up right were we left off. I will always remember your antics and jokes and the honor of being a part of the CHS Girls group but most of all i will remember all the text and visits we shared and all the encouragement and love you showered me with during my darkest days with my medical condition. I miss you Vicki and I love you.
