Victoria J. Reed, age 67, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Born in Lackawanna, NY on February 28, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Al and Veronica Stolfi.  Victoria attended Newark High School and graduated in 1968.  She dedicated her life to her family as a talented homemaker and worked for Avon and American Greetings.

A frequent traveler, Victoria enjoyed cruises, especially to the Caribbean and was a Cruise Critic Member.  She also loved to ballroom and swing dance.  Victoria appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed roosters and hummingbirds.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Victoria was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Gaelens; and aunt, Florence Gaelens.  She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald O. Reed, Sr.; sons, Gerald O. Reed, Jr. of Middletown and Nathan A. Reed (Starlyn) of Prince William, VA; sister, Lori Kwasneski of Rochester, NY; brother, Roger Gaelens of Rochester, NY; and grandchildren, Kyle Reed of Newark, Ivy Reed and Aven Reed of Ypsilanti, MI.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Victoria’s honor (name on memo line) to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 3407, Newark, DE 19713.
