Virginia G. (Magnoli) Clinton

Virginia G. (Magnoli) Clinton, age 85, of Beaufort, NC and formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2016.
Mrs. Clinton was born in Hingham, MA on December 27, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Vincenzo George and Mary Anna (Teti) Magnoli. In addition to raising her family, she worked as a shipping manager for the DuPont Company and retired after 18 years of dedicated service.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. Clinton was a longtime parishioner St. Egbert’s Church in Moorehead City, NC. She enjoyed reading and travelling both inside and outside the United States. Mrs. Clinton was an avid tea cup collector and enjoyed working on puzzles. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be very dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clinton was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Clinton, Sr. and her son, Richard Clinton, Jr. She is survived by her children, Christine Pochwat (Mitchell) of Beaufort, NC, Mark Clinton (Lonnie) of Boca Raton, FL, Gregory Clinton (Victoria) of Elkton, MD, Daniel Clinton of Asheville, NC and Tracy Clinton of Newark, DE; brother, Vincent Magnoli (Martha) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Violet D’Antonio of Middletown, CT and Marjorie O’Brian (Gordon) of Hull, MA; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm. A committal service will be held at 10 am on Monday morning, February 29, 2016 in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

It’s with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a wonderful, caring, generous, kind woman. Ginnie was my mother-in-law for 30 years. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids and they all loved her very much. Rest In Peace, Ginnie!

What can we say that has not be said about Grandma Virginia her whole life? She was an extremely warm and caring person who went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and accepted when around her. I will always remember her running around after cooking a great meal for her family to make sure everyone had their fill and refused to eat before everyone was taken care of.
She always had a genuine interest in my life as I grew older and never forgot to always send Katie and I a card for holidays/birthdays/anniversaries. She was loved by all who had the chance to know her and will be sorely missed.
