William “Ken” Taylor

William Ken Taylor, age 86, formerly of Glasgow, DE, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2016 in Merritt Island, FL.

Born in Furches, NC and raised in Kemblesville, PA he was the son of the late Andrew Jack and Pansey Taylor. Ken was a business owner and operated Ken Taylor Trucking for many years in Glasgow, DE before retiring to Titusville, FL.

Ken loved the warm weather and being outdoors and especially loved being near the water. Over the years he enjoyed hunting, was an avid boater and enjoyed fishing and crabbing. Later in life he also enjoyed traveling in his RV motorhome.

Ken was proceeded in death by his sister Juanita Swan and his brothers Willard Taylor, John Taylor and Merwyn Taylor. He was survived by his sister Pat Turner of Newark, DE; his children Linda Huth of Newark, DE, William Kenneth Taylor Jr. of Newark, DE and Steven Taylor of Middletown, DE; 5 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A memorial service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held on Friday evening, December 9, 2016 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where Friends may call from 6 pm until 7:30 pm with a Christian service beginning at 7:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
