Kareem Donte Mason, age 40, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 20, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 2, 1982, he was a son of Warren and Christine (Pringle) Mason. Kareem was a graduate of Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, PA. He worked as a helper at the Elwyn Institute.
A man of faith, Kareem gave his life to Christ at the Resurrection Baptist Church. He loved going to church and praying for others, he often said “I’m praying for everyone” but especially his nephews. Kareem was quite creative and loved to draw in his free time. He also enjoyed watching the lottery as well as solving crossword puzzles.
Kareem was preceded in death by his grandfather, Christopher Pringle. He is survived by his parents, Warren and Christie Mason; siblings, Martice Osborne (Nadir) and Anthony Mason; grandmother, Carmenthe Pringle; and nephews, Jalen, Marcel, and Tyler; and a host of aunts and uncles.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
