Louise E. Wersinger
June 3, 1932 - September 30, 2022
Mrs. Louise E. Wersinger, of Ocean View, DE, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Beebe Medical Center with her family by her side.
Born in Hazleton, PA, on June 3, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Calinowski. Louise spent her entire career, spanning over 30 years, at Howard Johnson’s restaurant on Kirkwood Highway and Rt. 7.
Louise loved to travel, with her last trip spent on a paddle boat on the Mississippi River while celebrating her 90th birthday with her two daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. Louise will be most remembered for her loving kindness, generosity, humor, and the ability to always see the best in everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 65 years, Robert F. Wersinger, Jr.; son, Robert F. Wersinger III; and her sisters, Dorothy, Anna, and Theresa. Louise is survived by her sons, Thomas Wersinger (Casey) and William Wersinger (Gene); and two daughters, Sue Ann Samluk (David), with whom she resided, and Jeanette Adams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Joseph R.C. Catholic Church, 371 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.

Billy I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was always so nice to me when I was over at your house.
