Died: 12/2/2012

Alexander James Milnamow, known affectionately as “Lex,” age 26, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 2, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Lex was born in Wilmington on September 3, 1986, and was a 2004 graduate of John Dickinson High School. He later earned his associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Delaware Technical Community College. More recently, he established his own company, Ironwood Tree Services. In his leisure hours, he greatly enjoyed riding his motorcycle, exploring the beauty of the natural world, dancing, playing pool, and, most especially, spending time with his loving family and his many close friends.
The many people who loved Lex will fondly remember him for his fun-loving and unique personality, and even more for his compassionate, generous nature. He found his greatest pleasure in helping others–no matter what the expense to himself.
A much-loved, cherished son and brother, Lex is survived by his devoted parents, James F. Milnamow and Janet S. Pollard Milnamow of Newark; brother, Jay Milnamow, at home; sister, Leah Gatewood (Eddie) of Kentucky; sister, Dawn Milnamow, at home; and many cousins, extended family members, friends, and his pet cat, Shady.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, 19711, where visitation will begin at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
