Ann B. Fraze, age 93, of Newark, DE since 1967, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on July 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace (Powell) Anseaume. Mrs. Fraze graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1943. In 1946, she married Robert L. Fraze who died in January 1991. Ann was employed for 12 years at (Wilmington) Memorial Hospital business office and 21 years at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

A valued member of the Newark United Methodist Church, Ann served as Sunshine Chairperson of Rebekah Circle, a team S.S. teacher and on the Prayer Chain. She completed United Methodist Disciple Classes #1 through # 4. Mrs. Fraze became a member of Naomi Rebekah Lodge #3, I.O.O.F of Delaware in 1945, became Past Noble Grand in 1949 and served as Lodge Treasurer from 1996 ““ 2007. She served as Grand Chaplain, Rebekah Assembly of DE I.O.O.F, 1950 ““ 1951. She was also a member of the Newark Senior Center and Newark Chapter #3517 of AARP. Ann was a world traveler, including, Alaska, Aruba, Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Columbia, Costa Rica, England, Egypt, France, Israel, Jamaica, New Zealand, Panama Canal and Scotland.

She is survived by her son, Robert Walter Fraze; niece, Eleanor Kirby; and grand-nephew, Craig Kirby.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Newark United Methodist Church, 69 East Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to the Newark United Methodist Church at the address listed above.
