Antoinette Marie “Toni” Paxson

Antoinette Marie “Toni” Paxson, age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
Toni was born in Wilmington, DE on May 1, 1939. She was raised from birth to the age of 18 in Seton Villa orphanage and grew up being a strong and independent individual. Toni worked for many years as a union representative. Following retirement, she worked at McCleary Elementary School in the cafeteria until the age of 78. She loved her two dogs, Ryan and Ginger and the many other dogs she raised. Her daughter, Rachelle was the love of her life. Together they shared a passion for Christmas.
Toni was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Paxson, Sr.; and children, Rachelle Paxson and William “Billy” Paxson. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Pierce; and grandson, Jonathon Paxson.
All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Ms.Toni I am saddened to hear of your passing. It was my absolute pleasure to have known you. I loved to sit with you just to listen to your beautiful stories about everything from politics and your political views to one of your favorite meals that you enjoyed cooking to you growing up in an orphanage or your favorite all time movies from the 50s and 60s but most of all I loved listening when you spoke about your children and all of there friends that you where a second mom to. I will never forget your kind and witty self. May you rest in peace God bless you and may he shine ever lasting light upon you. Dawn and family.
