Barbara A. Danosky
Mrs. Barbara A. Danosky, age 98, of Magnolia, DE, formerly of Merrill, OR, died on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE.
Mrs. Danosky, a homemaker, was born in Bandon, OR, on April 20, 1912, daughter of the late John Hunnicutt and Dollie Meyers Hunnicutt. She was raised and spent all but her last three years in the Klamath Basin. Well known by family and friends as an exceptionally talented seamstress, she won many ribbons and honors over the years for her sewing and quilting entries in the Tulelake (CA) County Fair. She was especially proud to have made a quilt as a special gift for most of her great grandchildren.
Mrs. Danosky attended the Merrill Presbyterian Church. In earlier years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with her husband, as well as traveling around the world with her daughter. She enjoyed her family and family trips.
Her beloved husband, Robert C. Danosky, died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Frank, Jim, Vern, Glen, Clyde, and Kenneth Hunnicutt. She is survived by her children, Dorothy M. Overmiller of Magnolia, DE, William R. Danosky of Socorro, NM and Earl C. Danosky of Tulelake, CA; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Merrill Presbyterian Church, 210 W. 2nd Street, Merrill, OR 97633.
