Barry Ellis Key - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Barry Ellis Key

January 17, 1968 - August 31, 2019

Barry Ellis Key, age 51, a resident of Beverly, WV, passed unexpectedly from this life Saturday, August 31, 2019, and is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Barry was born Wednesday, January 17, 1968, in Wilmington, DE, a son of the late George Ellis Key and Joan Carol (Gooslin) Key, who survives in Delaware.

Cherishing his memory are four children, Trey Ellis, Morgan Paige, Ellisyn Leondreigh, and Waiyden Dain Key; one sister, Daphyne Key Buckworth and husband Chris of DE; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Corey, Kyle, Isaac, Madison, Halle, and Anna; ex-wife and mother of Barry’s two oldest children, Jennifer Roy-Rosier; and the mother of his two youngest children, Megan Lower.

Barry was a graduate of Middletown High in Delaware, studied fitness and nutrition at I.C.S., and proudly served his country in the United States Army Airborne. Barry was currently employed at Anchor Solids Control and previously employed as a foreman for Bruce Hardwood Flooring. His children were his whole life. Barry enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved playing basketball and softball. Barry was well liked and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Because a smile came with him in every room he entered, he left a lasting impression on all he met. We guarantee that in heaven, he is wearing a robe with no sleeves.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 5:30 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 5:30 pm.  The family requests for guests to please dress casual for the service.
