Carol L. Leach

January 22, 1944 - July 11, 2019

          Carol L. Leach, age 75, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

          Born in Elkton, MD on January 22, 1944, she was a daughter of the late George Fox and Mary Elizabeth (Baldwin) Street.  Carol loved being a homemaker and enjoyed working for Kelly Services as their office manager.

          She was especially fond of her family and dogs, which she adored throughout her lifetime.  Carol was a member of the Red Hat Society, attending their many social events.  She enjoyed singing in the Sweet Adelines.  Later in life, Carol discovered she was a talented artist.

          She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Benjamin H. Leach, Jr.; sons, Benjamin “Scott” Leach (Denise) and Jeffrey Leach; brother, William Street; sister, Beverly Street; and grandchildren, Ashley Leach, Meghan Leach, Zachary Leach, Ian Leach and Danielle Levandoski (Walter).

          A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm.  Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carol’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market Street, Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
