Charles R. “Chuck” Schubert

Charles R. “Chuck” Schubert, age 77, of New Castle, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Born in Ralston, OK, on December 10, 1944, he was a son of the late Frank H. and Myrtle M. (Etheredge) Schubert. Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He made his career as a talented carpenter and mechanic. He was known as a Jack of all trades and could build a house from the ground up.
Chuck had a huge heart and always had a smile on his face. He was a kind soul that went out of his way to help others. Chuck loved everyone especially his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Don Schubert and Franklin Schubert; son, Robert Hill; grandchildren, Andrew, and Robert; and his wife, the love of his life, Brenda Hill, who passed in 2019. He is survived by his children, BeckySue Troutman (Brian), Carrie Wasieleski (Joe), David (Carol), and Elaine Gratto (Isaac); daughter-in-law, Diana; grandchildren, Natalie (Jim), Wyatt (Dani), Vanessa, Emmanuel, Joanna, Angel, Courtney, Joshua, David Jr., Noah, Claudia, Parker, Owen, Rebecca, Ezra, and Alexandra; and great grandchildren, Diesel, Addyson, Memphis, Raelynn, Halli, Shields, Karmello, Aphrodite, Thor, Lilith, Robert, Raelynn, Alexandra, Brenda, and Genesis.
A committal service for family and friends will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 6, 2022, in the Chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
