Clifford Abe "Kippy" Redwood - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Clifford Abe “Kippy” Redwood

June 23, 1957 - April 3, 2019

Clifford Abe “Kippy” Redwood, age 61, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

Born in Victoria, TX, on June 23, 1957, he was a son of Jessi (Garcia) Reinholz and the late James M. Redwood II.  Kippy proudly served in the Army National Guard.  He then worked as a machine operator for NVF for over 30 years.

Kippy had a great love for life, family, humor and many boxer dogs over the years.  To say he was a lifetime Dallas Cowboys fan is an understatement.  He also loved Nascar Racing.  Kippy treasured the time spent with family and family gatherings and was proud to be a major part of his grandchildren’s lives. He had more fun and more laughs than most.  People always remember how someone made you feel, when you think of Kippy remember how he loved to laugh and make others laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kimberly A. (Rookard) Redwood; mother, Jessi (Garcia) Reinholz; children, Brandy C. Redwood (Thomas White) and Clifford A. Redwood II (Jessica Brown), both of New Castle; siblings, James M. Redwood III of Michigan, Debi Redwood of Maine, Teresa York (Ray) of Middletown, Johnny Redwood of Elkton, MD and Melissa Kaminski (Chris) of Clayton, DE; grandchildren, Alyssa, Oriana, Xavier, Faith and Leona; and many loving nephews and nieces.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 2 pm.  Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Kippy’s memory to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center of the Christiana Care Health System, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19713 to assist local families in need.
