Mr. David A. Cole, age 51, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012.
Born in Wilmington on July 28, 1961, David was a graduate of Christiana High School and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Cunningham. He made his career as a professional truck driver. He was a member of Holy Family parish.
A talented drummer, David loved music throughout his life. He will also be fondly remembered for his mischievous sense of humor.
He is survived by his children, Nicholas A. Cole and Char Lee Cole; parents, Elizabeth C. and Robert F. Greenplate, Sr.; father, Donald J. Cole; siblings, Robert F. Greenplate, Jr., Mary E. Cole, Elizabeth S. Greenplate, Tracey C. Greenplate, and Melissa Carlozzi; and grandchildren, Mirror, Leelee, and Ember.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, where visitation will be held from 10:45 am to 11:45 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
