David H. McAndrews, Jr., age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018.
Born in Youngstown, OH on June 5, 1931, he was the son of the late David H. and Ruth (Gane) McAndrews, Sr. David proudly served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force. He was a dedicated employee for 29 years with DP&L Power, retiring in 1994 as a first class maintenance mechanic.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen E. Conaway. David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice L. (Bogart) McAndrews; daughter, Donna Jean Phipps (Rick); son, David H. McAndrews III (Sarah); sister, Carolyn Gonzalez (Joe); 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be held privately.
