David L. Foraker

April 28, 1947 - September 18, 2022

David L. Foraker, Sr., age 75, of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE on April 28, 1947, he was a son of the late George and Virginia (Stumpf) Foraker. David proudly served his country in the United States Army and made his career at W.L. Gore where he retired as a machine operator.

David was a knowledgeable collector and owner of classic cars. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. In his spare time, David could often be found golfing or bass fishing. Most of all, his family and grandchildren meant the most to him and he will be missed by many.

David is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn (Jester) Foraker; loving son, D.J. Foraker (Nichole); brothers, Bobby Foraker (Vicky), and Jimmy Foraker (Judy); sisters, Carol Foraker, Elaine Foraker, and Sharon Foraker; grandchildren, Darren, Katelynn, and Miranda Foraker; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will be held privately.
