David Perlmutter
October 15, 1945 - June 2, 2021
David Perlmutter, age 75, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, on October 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Dr. Samuel and Elsie (Klieman) Perlmutter. David earned his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, then made his career as a consulting engineer for companies such as Raytheon, Orbital Sciences and others located around the Washington DC beltway. He enjoyed bike riding, scuba diving, rooting for the Washington Capitals and loved living in the 55 and Better community of Legacy at Odessa National.
David is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Margaret “Cookie” (Tankleff) Perlmutter; children, Michael Perlmutter (Beth), Rachel Wills (Mark), and Stacey Francis; and grandchildren, Joshua and Evan Perlmutter and Shayna and Noah Francis.
All services will be held privately.
