Deborah A. Cline
Mrs. Deborah A. Cline, known fondly as Debbie, age 58, of South St. Georges, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Christiana Hospital.
Debbie was born in Pinto, WV, on October 7, 1952, daughter of the late Oscar Boone Case and L. Ruth Van Meter. Well known for her compassionate and giving nature, she made her career in the healthcare field, working as a home health aide.
A devout Christian, Debbie was an active member of Living Waters Church of God, where she was involved in childrens programs for 25 years. She was devoted to all children throughout her life and served as a foster mother for 17 years, providing care, love, and support for over 11 at-risk children during that time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Robertson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Steven E. Cline; daughter, Melody Boggess and her husband, Brandon, of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Donna Davis of Georgetown, DE, and Nancy Flanagan of Elkton, MD; and sister-in-law, Patsy Robertson of Georgetown, DE.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 30th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, March 31st, at Living Waters Church of God, 498 East Chestnut Hill Road, Newark, DE 19713, where a second visitation will begin at 3 pm.
