Dorothy M. Painter

Dorothy M. Painter, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Born in Letchworth, England, on November 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Dorothy M. (Warboys) Dilley. Dorothy was a dedicated secretary for the University of Delaware for many years.

Dorothy was an avid reader. She loved knitting and loved her cats.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward C. Painter. She is survived by her children, Dianna McCarthy (Stephen), and Edward Painter; and grandchildren, Samantha Stant, Kaitlyn Forrey (Alex), Sarah Holveck (Doug), and Nick Painter (Michelle); and 4 great-grandchildren.
