Earl Brian Roe

Mr. Earl Brian Roe, age 51, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Brian was born in Wilmington on March 6, 1960. He made his career as a professional plumber and pipefitter and was employed with Ralph G. Degli Obizzi and Sons, Inc.
Among his many interests, Brian delighted in riding his 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fishing, grilling for family cookouts, playing rummy, and taking trips to the beach. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock, especially his favorite bands, the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.
Well known for his wonderful sense of humor and the great pleasure he took in cheering others with his frequent jokes and funny stories, Brian will be long remembered for his always-positive outlook on life. He believed in embracing life each day; his warm, enthusiastic nature was both a blessing and an inspiration to his family and his many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna L. “Dee” Roe; daughter, Jessica E. Roe and her mother, Betty “Jeannie” Roe; mother and stepfather, Elaine B. and James C. Carter; father, William E. Roe, Jr.; brother, William “Billy” Roe and wife, Cathy; stepbrother, Lee Carter; stepsister, Marjorie Cochran and husband, Charlie; sister-in-law, Helen “Twinkle” Carter; and seven loving nieces, nine loving nephews, and a great niece. He was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Alan Carter.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington.
