Edna May Parker

Mrs. Edna May Parker, age 94, of Millcroft in Newark, DE, formerly of Penn Acres in New Castle, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012.
Mrs. Parker was born in Crumpler, WV, on December 30, 1917, daughter of the late Robert H. Martin and Ida Shough Martin. A talented homemaker, she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of New Castle, where she taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. In earlier years, she was an Avon representative in the New Castle area.
In addition to her parents and seven siblings, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Orville C. Parker, in 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Dorcas Jean Dunson (James B. Jr.) of Newark; son, Bruce Dean Parker (Alberta U.) of Mountain City, TN; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church, 215 E. Delaware Avenue, Newark, DE, 19711, where visitation will begin at 1 pm.
