Eleanor Emily Miles

Mrs. Eleanor Emily Miles, age 82, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at her home.
A native Delawarean, Mrs. Miles was born in Wilmington on July 9, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph G. McNeal and A. Margaret Maier McNeal. She made her career in banking, retiring as a teller with the former Delaware Trust in 1988. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 19 and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Henry Miles; daughter, Margaret C. Galloway Novoselsky of Atlanta, GA; son, Donald Charles Galloway of Elkton, MD; stepdaughter, Lyn-Susan Eveland of Orlando, FL; brother, Robert Charles Zych of Lewes, DE; a grandson; two step grandchildren; four great grandsons; and caregivers, Debbie and Brian Daly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Carl Zych, and stepbrothers, O. Richard McNeal and Joseph G. McNeal.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
