She also loved watching her favorite sitcoms, especially M.A.S.H., The Andy Griffith Show, The Big Bang Theory and Friends. Betsy absolutely adored the beach and her vacation home there. She relished spending hours on the beaches of Bethany and Fenwick Island with her husband and family. • As a frequent customer at Acme, I remember Betsy at the Service Desk, although I never really knew her name and surely had no idea she had worked there that long. She was always a friendly face and helpful presence. And then one day a few months ago, I met her in the Oncology Offices at Helen Graham Center where I was for a post breast cancer appt. She tried to speak to us; it was evident she knew who I was…and out of context I couldn’t place her or where I knew her from. Within the next week, shopping at Acme it hit me! So I continued then to ask about her…and then finally heard she had passed away. The obituary hung on the wall in the Acme Service Dept. this past week and as I read it I thought of how many she touched.
Rest in peace, Betsy, and thank you…
