Elizabeth A. “Betty” Walls
August 29, 1933 - June 3, 2022
Elizabeth A. “Betty” Walls, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2022, after a long battle with dementia.
Betty was born on August 29, 1933, in Dayton, PA, the daughter of the late George B. and Alverda (Myers) Hollenbaugh.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lloyd Walls; son, Terry Lee Walls; and grandson, Thomas J. “TJ” Bubacz, Jr.
Betty was a loving, kind, and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a life of simplicity and humility, always giving and caretaking. Betty worked for ShopRite supermarkets for over 25 years.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert, Linda, James, Ronald and Patricia; grandchildren, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Jamie, Kacie, Justin, Eric, and Sam; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
As dementia took over Betty our family is forever grateful for the daily, loving and compassionate care of Cindy Buckman, her caretaker for the last 3 years. In addition to Cindy, the Buckman family was an unwavering source of friendship and companionship to Betty.
Our family would also like to thank Accent/Seasons Hospice for the exceptional care she received from them.
All services will be held privately. Betty will be laid to rest with her husband at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her grandson, TJ’s, honor and memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Ste 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814. Betty was a constant 29-year advocate for the CFF, always hoping for a cure.
