Mrs. Elizabeth L. “Libby” Giger, age 88, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Claymont, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011.
Born on March 15, 1923 in Franklin City, VA, Libby was the daughter of Maurice and Possey Etta Tyndall Tull. She married Ralph Giger who preceded her in death.
A member of the Aston Hills Baptist Church in Aston, PA, Libby attended service provided by The Crossing at Curtis Creek Retirement Home, where she lived since 2005 after moving to Quincy. Libby enjoyed the Christian Women’s Group at Curtis Creek and was an avid jewelry maker who will be remembered by family and friends for her passion for the jewelry she made.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Flynn (David Daugherty) of Quincy; son, William Fisher (Kathleen) of Newark, DE; five grandchildren, Greg Nichols (Sonya) of Hannibal, MO, Scott Nichols (Julia) of Atlanta, GA, William Fisher (Margo) of Landenberg, PA, John Fisher (Diane) of Newark, DE, and David Fisher (Nicole) of Middletown, DE; nine great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Giger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, James E. Tull; and her sisters, Gladys Moudy and Juanita Turnpaugh.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am.
