Emile E. Bergeron
Mr. Emile E. Bergeron, age 90, of Middletown, DE, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Bergeron was born in Berlin, NH, on March 2, 1920, son of the late Marie and Joseph Bergeron. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
An electrician by profession, Mr. Bergeron had been an active member of IBEW Local #313 for 60 years. He was also a member of St. Pauls parish in Delaware City. A devoted family man throughout his life, he greatly enjoyed spending summer vacations at the family camp on South Pond in Stark, NH.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Regina Wilson Bergeron; sons, Edward E. Bergeron (Lynda) of Middletown, DE, and Joseph G. Bergeron of Middletown, DE; brother, Gerard Bergeron of Berlin, NH; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beatrice, brothers, Phillip, Philias, Ernest, Armand, and Gilbert, and a grandson, Ted Bergeron.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am at St. Pauls R.C. Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City, DE. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
