Ethel Ursula Delozier

November 25, 1945 - June 13, 2023

Ethel Ursula Delozier, age 77, of Newark, DE, and formerly of Altoona, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Born in Altoona, PA on November 25, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Geesey) Colbert. Ethel graduated from Altoona High School, and shortly after married the love of her life, Kenneth Delozier on May 22, 1965. In later years, she worked as a cashier at Walmart, a job she dearly loved.

Ethel and Kenny enjoyed watching trains and traveling to visit museums. Many evenings they could be found sitting along the rail line watching the trains go by. They also enjoyed going camping with friends and meeting new people. Ethel and Kenny were always together, sharing life.

During the past few years Ethel spent much of her time with the “Golden Girls,” Gloria Delozier and Beverly Delozier, laughing and making new memories. Ethel enjoyed this time, and spoke often about the enjoyable times and laughter they had.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Delozier; and siblings, Charlene Dowey and Harold Colbert. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Luciano; son-in-law, Donald Pfahler; grandchildren, Zachary Luciano, Danielle Luciano, Donald Bouchelle (Harley), Matthew Pfahler (Brittany) and Lacey Mort (Ed); great-grandchildren, Alexis, Chase, Hunter, and Paisley; and sisters, Claudette Rider and Jeanette Wasner.

All services will be held privately.
